Colby Miller has lived something of an average life, a few bumps in the road here and there, but generally it has been an average life. At least thats what he'd like to claim, slightly twitchy a bit eccentric, and generally an out there kind of guy, whose charm and wit might win off any kind of threat. He was that too lean, too tall kid that always had a book or a game in hand, and despite harsh words and numerous threats, was always able to talk his way out of getting his butt kicked too often, always willing to jump to the defense of others even when he couldn't defend them anymore than he could himself.

After something of a troubled child-hood, and witnessing first hand his best friend be gunned down at the age of 13 on the streets of South Boston, Colby was luckily taken in by his grandmother and her husband. This event would put Colby adamantly against violence, and guns. Moved to London, Colby's personality settled into what it is now. After his grandmother passed away at 17, his recklessness in the streets of London took new heights, perhaps inspired by a growing love for gambling. For years, he'd study trying to gain his engineering degree, and juggling with gambling debts and long winning streaks.

With his 'grandfather' watching over him, it was always resolved before it turned into broken bones on his part. This of course, is the part where his world is turned upside down. The Kreelocks attacked. Hard and fast, seeking out Colby's grandfather. Being a retired Eldritch Hunter that had escaped the wrath of the long ago war, it turned out the older gentleman had been trying to hide. The ensuing battle saw Colby's 'grandfather' killed, and Colby on the run. Perhaps this was why the Ancients chose him, or perhaps it was his compassion for others, or his ability to wage war on the developing battle-fields of the future. Whatever the case they must have a sense of humor, gifting wiry and scrappy Colby with the Domain of the Transmutators.
