Origins[]
Mephrets are elemental creatures that are humanoid in nature. They are native to the Shadow Realm, and do not often venture to the Material Realm. They are known to be tricksters, who are only interested in playing games with their victims before they kill them. There are a variety of mephrets; with just about every element, there is a mephret that can wield its abilities.
Mephrets are sneaky creatures. They work for the Horde only because they believe it will benefit them. Typically, they work as bounty hunter or assassins for the Kreelocks. They have been known to kill Arcanists, especially ones that are just coming into their powers (season three).
Physiology[]
Only averaging at a height of 4’2”, Mephrets are generally short and small. They’re skin tone is generally the color of their appropriate element – red for fire, blue for water, light grey for air, etc. All have a set of wings that fold into their back, and rip out of their spine for flight. All creatures have long fingernails, and more often than not carry some weapon with them, be it a sword or long bone. They’re claws/nails are typically dirty from not being cleaned off.
They carry a scent of burnt ash, and sometimes their skin appears as if it has been seared. Most have long, black hair and grainy skin. They are typically dressed in what seem to be rags. All mephrets have dark eyes, though it appears that they do not have them at all.
Powers[]
Flight[]
All mephrets have boney wings that can rip from their spine in order to give them the ability of flight. The ripping process isn’t harmful to the creature, though it looks particularly painful.
Enhanced Healing[]
Each mephret type heals themselves at an accelerated rate when exposed to something of their element. For example, Air Mephrets heal when expose to breezes or fanning itself, while Aquatic Mephrets heal once dipping in water or by rain.
Element Weapon[]
Air Mephret → They can suck the breath out of a victim, until they suffocate. They can also cause a heavy, gusting wind.
Dust Mephret → These mephrets can breathe out heavy, irritating particles that scratch at flesh and can eat away at clothing as if it were acid.
Earth Mephret → An earth mephret can cause a tornado of shrapnel to arise, carrying heavy stones and rocks to stir in the air.
Flame Mephret → This creature can breath of a large radius of fire, and can surround its victims in a ring of flame.
Ice Mephret → This Shadowkind can breathe out large shards of ice that fly rapidly towards a victim; they can also change their immediate terrain into ice.
Aquatic Mephrets → These mephrets can cause a whirlpool in an aquatic environment, as well as cause geysers to erupt around their victims.
